Our Research

Public Opinion Toward LA Protest

This project examines how self-interest and partisan identity influence Californians' opinions regarding the LA protest held in June 2025. People who received curfew alerts or live near downtown LA may be more emotionally affected than those who reside farther from the protest. By investigating the impact of geographic proximity, perceived self-interest, and partisanship on political attitudes, we gain a deeper understanding of the implications and limitations of partisan politics.

Non-supporters Attitudes toward Media Message

Explore our ongoing project at the intersection of political psychology and communication. This study investigates how non-supporters of Black Lives Matter react to both negative and positive media messages, and what psychological mechanisms underlie their reactions to protesters. This experimental study aims to better understand the perspectives of opponents and how they engage with media
